Welcome. Where next?
Students will probably find it easiest to go to the topics page and search for what is needed, and get even more organised by buying the simple self-assessment file for £1.99. Those who know what grade or level to aim for can click on the left menu.
Teachers will know how to navigate using the main menu on the left. The following resources will also improve organisation and results hugely.
Magic markbooks for KS2-3 and GCSE/A Level: £5.99 for one edition or £9.99 for both.
Syncplicity online file and folder sharing of almost 1GB of resources: £1.99
Comment bank for marking: 99p
Levels and grades to aid assessment for learning: £1.99
Coming soon: a file for recording test scores for an entire year group, calculating average grades or levels (like the Magic Markbook).
This website contains over 400 MB of resources and web links over almost 500 different pages. Every maths topic for students aged 10-16 is listed by SATs level and GCSE grade. The menu on the left has been designed especially in order to help us all find what we need. It is also immensely useful to see how one topic is derived from the previous one.
The pages themselves contain explanations and questions from a variety of sources. There are indications as to what knowledge and skills are essential before progressing onto that page, and starters for lessons. The other things to look at include links to Teachers' TV and loop cards.
There are also a number of pages designated for teachers and students. We all spend hours scouring the internet for the right sort of help. The most important work has been done already on these pages to make all our lives easier. They include links to free exam papers and ideas for making teaching more effective.
Remember that there is a search facility which trawls through every page on the site. Click on search, above, and find every topic on the site, even if the actual location is a mystery to you.
Please contact me to request new links or ideas which should be added. Any advertising or promotion can also be done using the contact page.
